About Our Conference
The Rita J. Martinez Youth Leadership conference is event, happening every two years at Colorado State University - Pueblo. The event draws in 350+ youth from Pueblo and surrounding communities, including San Luis. Students are given the opportunity to attend culturally relevant workshops that included Lowriding, Know Your Rights, Mayan Math, and several other leadership development opportunities.
The conference features keynote speakers, like the acclaimed actor and songwriter, Daniel Valdez. Students are also able to hear from important community figures, like former Colorado State Representative Tim Hernandez who was the first Gen Z legislator in our state.
